My wonder drug for horrible panic attacks. I take .5mg and in an hour I become very calm. Obviously not a great drug to take all the time because it has a tendency towards addiction. I however, fight having to take Xanax very much, so really only take it in HORRIBLE situations that I absolutely positively cannot wait out. As far as side effects, it does tend to make me sleepy; but I have taken it during the daytime and was functioning fine but very very calmly.

I use Xanax at this time because I have started taking Pristiq. I use Xanax at times of experiencing extreme anxiety. It is working wonderfuly. I have no side effects other than a small rash on my face, by my eyes. It tends to go away after a day or two with cortizone.
